Direct donations to the club by check or credit/debit is always available.

The Albany Pickleball Club operates as a local recreational social group rather than a registered federal 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are  sustained primarily through membership fees and event fees like the Rally in the Valley tournament and sponsorships. We also write for appropriate grants from the city, the county, and private nonprofits.

We accept individual donations of any amount by check or debit / credit card through our secure Square site.

Alternative Non-Profit Support: For tax-exempt municipal park and recreation funding in the area, the city relies on the official Albany Parks and Recreation Foundation, which is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity.

  • A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) lets people age 70½ or older give directly from an IRA to a charity.
  • The transfer avoids income taxes on that withdrawal amount.
  • You can give up to $100,000 per year.

Eligible accounts:
QCDs can be made from most IRAs, including:

  • Traditional IRAs
  • Rollover IRAs
  • Inherited IRAs
  • SEP IRAs (inactive plans only)
  • SIMPLE IRAs (inactive plans only)*

Work With Your IRA Company and/or Financial Planner
